Glitter Galore, a New Year’s Bash

New Year’s Eve is approaching which means we are almost in 2024! Have you thought about any New Year’s resolutions yet? Spoiler alert: I have not. Of course, I have general things I would like to improve in my life and get done, but I have yet to solidify anything major.

Give me a little longer, I promise I will be ready.

However, one thing I have definitely started thinking about is a New Year’s Eve party theme. As someone who generally forgets to plan things out or somehow runs out of time on literally everything, I like to keep New Year’s simple, elegant, and fun.

This year, I want to keep it cool, collected, and glittery! You can never go wrong with a little glitter, especially at New Year’s. It makes me think of all the shining possibilities a new year can bring, and it is a reminder of all the golden memories I made in the previous year. Sappy, but true. I find life is better when you let yourself get a little sappy.

Okay, anyway, my main source of inspo for this theme is these Gold Glitter New Year’s Dessert Plates found on our website, Partyplacear.com.

The best part is that the glitter is printed onto the plate’s surface so no need to worry about glitter in your food or all over your living space. Yeah, that is def important to me.

So, using these as inspo, let’s get glittery.

I really like the idea of using this Star garland as either part of a dessert table decoration or even on part of a photo booth. As someone who is extremely single, I could do without the “kiss me at midnight” signage, but hey, to each their own. If you have a New Year’s kiss, more power to you.

Okay, enough about that.

I find that a New Year’s party photo booth as one of the most integral parts of this party. Not that the other aspects do not matter, but I would say most New Year’s parties are made to be chill events where you dress up and enjoy one another’s company.

I am obsessed with fringe photo backdrops, and I will never not be. Sorry! They are so classic and just scream party.

I am particularly obsessed with these layered gold, glitter fringe backdrops. They add so much depth to a backdrop and are certainly way more effective.

Courtesy of Confetti System

This one is my main source of inspo, and you can easily make one of these by getting a plain backdrop, tons of gold fringe and cut them different lengths and stack on top of each other for that layered effect. If you don’t want to do that, get one of these layered fringe banners instead to cut the work in half for a similar effect!

With this, you’re sure to have a showstopper. Just do not forget the props, drinks, and a good New Year’s attitude.

Cheers to the New Year!

A Colorful Christmas Celebration

I saw the most beautiful Christmas party decorations and table set up on Pinterest this morning. It inspired me so much, that I am not only going to throw my version of this party, but I am going to tell you how to do so as well!

The first photo was my initial inspiration, but it seems to be a big trend this year to use the streamers and ornaments as a sort of table centerpiece that hangs on the light as opposed to sitting on the table.

I like this because it feels simple but festive and very whimsical. Christmas is all about everyday magic in my opinion, and this really emulates that for me. I know it uses different colors than the traditional red and green, but I have been trying to experiment with even more colors for Christmas to attempt to capture some of that magic!

Additionally, I like the different types of candles and candle holders used on the tables along with festive Christmas tableware and plates. This being said, let’s see what Party Place offers to create this type of vibe for a colorful Christmas celebration!

Crepe paper is essential for that type of hanging centerpiece, and lucky us, Party Place has a plethora of different colors too! You can click here to view all their crepe paper options.

Also, I think any Christmas party is a crowd-pleaser when there is either a festive craft involved (i.e. making ornaments) or when it is a cookie swap. If you choose to do a cookie swap or something similar, get your cookie containers from Party Place. They have some major Christmas offerings. Personally, I like these stackable ones, but be sure to check them all out in-store or online.

Anyways, be sure to get lots of filler ornaments as well for your centerpiece, which can be purchased from most big box stores like Walmart or even Dollar General.

As for more table decorations, I like the use of foliage and winter fruits the most on this table display. I love this style of decorating for most events, and this Christmas is no exception. It also is an inexpensive way to create full table settings and provide a cozy warmth to any party.

Lastly, I think any colorful or detailed tablecloth would work quite well for this party. Especially if it something vintage or a family piece, that is even better!

Don’t be afraid to go past the red and green of Christmas and get colorful with it.

Be sure to stop by Party Place or shop online to get all the necessary party supplies for all your Christmas celebrations.

The Leaves are Falling, Throw a Friendsgiving Party!

With the weather finally being consistently autumnal, the tree leaves are technicolor galore, and the holiday season is in full swing now is the perfect time to throw a Friendsgiving party before it becomes a winter wonderland.

Party Place has an exceptional selection of fall partyware and decorations that will make every autumnal party perfect. I love Friendsgiving. It is such a lovely opportunity to create joy and memories with your closest friends. Although Thanksgiving is a wonderful opportunity to spend time with your family and have a fantastic time, sometimes families can be stressful. It doesn’t mean it is any less fun, but sometimes we all need a Friendsgiving that does not have tons of expectations or traditions attached.

Think of Friendsgiving as a relaxed precursor to Thanksgiving.

Anyways! Let’s move on.

I want to talk about some table decorations for this Friendsgiving and those that will really make it scream autumn and nature. Super cool vibe to emulate if you ask me.

Okay, first and foremost, I want to highlight these homemade dried orange garlands. They are super simple to make, and they are showstoppers for a plentiful, natural Friendsgiving celebration. You can either hang them around your house or bundle them together for a table centerpiece. Simply cut the oranges into slices, bake at 350F for 45 minutes then thread through with a needle and string. Easy.

Next, let’s make sure the punch we serve is something that your guests simply will not stop buzzing about throughout the party and months after.

For some holiday cheer that is perfect all season around, go for an Apple Cider Sangria. This recipe should be a winner in everyone’s books.

Lastly, let’s talk about dinnerware. I have recently been loving mismatched dinnerware for dinner parties. I think it adds a certain je ne sais quoi element to the atmosphere and allows for a relaxed, yet put together aesthetic. Take a look at your local thrift stores for tons of options and unique finds.

With these ideas and all the items Party Place has to offer, this Friendsgiving will be one for the books.

A Halloweentown Fun Fest

When I was a kid, I loved the movie Halloweentown. Honestly, I still love that movie and watch it every year. I think it is a Halloween classic, encapsulating the joy I felt as a kid during the Halloween season. Even today, Halloween remains my favorite holiday.

As an homage to one of my favorite spooky season movies, let’s throw a fun Halloweentown party. Make sure you wear your most festive and classic Halloween costume for this party. To me, Halloweentown is all about celebrating the old-school Halloween we all know and love.

So, let’s get started.

You need to pull out all the stops on decorations. No easy way out on this one—a Halloweentown party deserves to be over the top. Bring out all the pumpkins, skeletons, bats, and spooky galore. If you feel you are running short on anything, go ahead and come down to Party Place to get our decorations sorted out.

I also recommend an elaborate balloon arch for the party entrance to really set the tone.

I think taking this pumpkin arch as inspiration is a great way to embody the Halloweentown vibe.

For drinks and food, I would recommend paying a visit back to the movies to see what they can offer you. When you make foods and drinks that align with either the party theme or something specifically from a movie, it really adds a level of authenticity people love.

These marshmallow spiders are a great example and easy to make for all hot chocolate drinks!

(See Halloweentown High for their appearance in the franchise.)

Now for food and snacks, I will be honest, Pinterest is definitely the place to go for any kind of inspiration and how-to. There are some seriously creative people on there.

Lastly, let’s look at some more Halloween décor for the party.

As a I previously said, really try and take it over the top.

These floating candles are a wow factor and really easy to achieve the effect. I made them in college once, and they were totally a crowd-pleaser.

For the rest of the décor and the general ambience of the party, think cooky spooky. Nothing too frightening but something on the brighter side of the Halloween fun. That represents Halloweentown to me more than anything. I think the table below really shows a good mix of it all.

Now, have some fun and go crazy with it!

Come to Party Place for all your party needs.

Monster Mash Bash Party

We are finally in the month of my all time favorite holiday. Yes! It is Halloween. I have loved Halloween for as long as I can remember. I have always loved to dress up, decorate with all the spooky and fun classic Halloween items, and of course, throw Halloween parties.

Some of my fondest memories of childhood are from the Halloween parties my mom would throw for me and my friends from school. She did it all the way up until I graduated high school. It was such a lovely time for me.

It is never too late to start a tradition such as that.

Even if you don’t do it annually, you should consider throwing a Halloween party this year. I find it one of the most fun types of parties to plan and attend.

So, for today’s party idea let’s throw ourselves a Monster Mash Bash!

I think any classic Halloween party theme like this is always a hit. Especially if your Bash is an adults-only party, this definitely will give them that nostalgic feel they so often desire around this time of year.

For a Monster Mash Bash, you definitely need a banging playlist. I find this type of party to be one made for blasting music and dancing your heart out. Spotify and Youtube are both great places to find ready-made playlists so that your party music slays (literally).

Now, for my parties, I always make it a requirement to wear a costume. I do not really care what the costume is or how intensely made it is, but I do care that you have one on. It is so important to be in the spirit I think.

You can set a specific set of requirements for your party or keep it open to interpretation.

Additionally, you need to make a spooky punch. Something that is fun, flavorful, and if you’re into it, has a little zing from liquor.

I find that these ghost-hand ice cubes are always a hit with guests.

Courtesy of DIY Ready

Next, we need to add in the Blood Fondue—otherwise known as white chocolate with red food coloring in it! This is the perfect thing to make a spectacular treat that will sure to give people the creeps in the best way!

Lastly, we need some monster mash treats to go along with our other items. Consider getting monster-themed cookies or brownies with candy eyeballs for example to make it extra spooky.

For all your decoration needs, stop by party Place to see our extensive range of products we offer. From napkins, to props, and even Halloween costumes, we have it all.

4th of July Party Supplies

The 4th of July is a holiday that just screams American summer to me. I mean this in the best way possible. When I think about the 4th of July, I think about the hot, sweltering sun, taking a dip in the water, and of course, a cookout and lots of good vibes. The fireworks are a must, and of course, we have to have lots of different variations of the flag of the United States of America for the celebration.

I enjoy how relaxed the entire day is, don’t you? Crack open a cold beer, listen to music, and soak it all in. I love that. I think any time we can take life a little slower and just enjoy it, that is the best way to be. So, no matter what your plans are this Fourth of July, I invite you to get your party supplies from the Party Place. Jazz up the cookout or lake day with all our fantastic options.

Here is the round-up of my favorite supplies and decorations we offer.

  1. Classic Flags

No Independence Day celebration is complete without a plethora of American flags! These are great to put out for decoration in nearly every setting. You can put them around the food, in flower pots, around the pool, and all the other things you can think of to use for! Not to mention they look cute in photos too.

I love tinsel. It just adds such a fun vibe to the decorations at a party. I will always use tinsel garland if given the chance.

These are totally perfect for any outdoor or indoor venue. I like these too because they also can be used for other occasions! Don’t we just love versatility?

If you want some classic Americana, patriotic type of décor, this is totally the piece for you. What screams USA more than some classic bunting? I can’t think of anything else.

That’s it, ladies and gentlemen. Get your stuff to get prepared for this 4th of July!

Easter Brunch

Easter is such a cute holiday. The pastels, the florals, the eggs, and not to mention the adorable little bunnies! I think it is the epitome of spring in full swing in many ways, which means better weather, more outdoor time, and so forth. What is not to love about that? This is why I propose an excellent garden brunch for Easter this year.

Oh, did I mention, I love brunch? I know I am really submitting to the whole “basic brunch girlie” vibe, but I do not care! I love the idea of brunch in general. The food choices, the drinks, the cute restaurants, the entire vibe! It just gets everyone buzzing in the best way possible.

So, let’s go ahead and emulate that for Easter this year for sure. I love a good tablescape as well. I think it really captures the atmosphere for a party or event every single time. Here are some of my favorite examples of Easter tablescapes for this year.

Party Place has tons of party supplies and balloons to make these tablescapes a reality. So check online or get on down to the store to get all that you need.

I love this Iridescent & Multi Colored Fringed Backdrop for a good backing piece to any party center tablescape.

As for a menu, think of something fun and sweet! Think about things like French toast, pancakes, chicken & waffles, fruit sides, mimosas, and other such dishes. This will really add to the pastel and springtime vibes, so go for it. If you are not into cooking all of this yourself, either check out some local brunch restaurants to see if you can either decorate a few tables at the restaurant or get them to cater for you!

Easy and breezy! Just like a beautiful spring day.

Masks On! Mardi Gras Madness

I say this every single year, but I love Mardi Gras. It is truly a stunning holiday to me. Tons of fun to be had for so many reasons. First and foremost, I love Mardi Gras for the food. I cannot even begin to explain how much I adore a holiday that is practically surrounded by Cajun food. Okay, sign me up?

On a serious note, since part of my childhood was in Florida, you can imagine that I had a pretty good connection to Mardi Gras growing up. Not to mention my family is Catholic, so honestly, this is kind of our thing! Anyways, I mention that only to let you know that I am a good person to come to for Mardi Gras. After all, it is in my top three best holidays list.

Some of my favorite things about Mardi Gras are the loud colors, beads, and of course, the masks! There is so much mystery involved with a fun mask, so why not plan on it on such a holiday of the year! Lucky for you, the Party Place has tons of Mardi Gras materials, including loads of masks. I propose that this year we run with the masks and do a masquerade ball!

Courtesy of Haute Off the Track

I am a huge fan of any sort of themed ball or gala. I mean, who does not want to get dressed up sometimes? Plus, Mardi Gras masquerade balls are the perfect place to wear some crazy outfits and go all out!

So, why not throw your own? You can lots of inspiration for invitations on Pinterest as well as Etsy. Go ahead and come by the Party Place to get more inspo and stock up on all the goods. Just take a look online to get a peek at just a bit of what we have to offer. Telling you right now, you will not be disappointed, and you will not come home empty handed.

Courtesy of Giggles & Galore

The best part about decorating for Mardi Gras is that there is no limit. You can quite literally go beyond what you consider over-the-top.

Get the glitz, girls and boys.

Also, do not forget that king cake! The best part of the night if you ask me. I love finding out who is going to get luck for the year with the baby Jesus!

If you want to serve dinner too, you can never go wrong with jambalaya, gumbo, and some good ol’ shrimp po’ boys.

Looking for table decorations, masks, and more? Click here to get the goods from Party Place.

Valentine’s Day Rom Com Extravaganza

I love Valentine’s Day. I say that every year, but I really do mean that. I honestly do not know why I love it so much. I have been single for every Valentine’s Day except for once, but nonetheless my love for this holiday persists.

It is probably because I am a hopeless romantic and just adore some good ol’ romantic comedies. Oh, and I love the somewhat gaudiness of Valentine’s Day decorations. Who knows why, I just do. I gave up trying to figure it out ages ago.

Anyways, if you are a hopeless romantic like me or just love a good rom com, then this party is definitely for you.

This is for all my single girlies out there. You do not have to be in a relationship with someone for your Valentine’s Day to not suck. All it takes is a little chocolate, wine, and goofy rom coms to really get you in the spirit.

So, let’s throw a good party!

Everyone will be happy to know that Party Place has everything imaginable for a Valentine’s Day Rom Com Extravaganza.

I think something that would be super cute to do for this party is to make little goody bags for the rom com watch party.

Also, feel free to choose any movies you’d like. One of my all-time favorites is 13 Going on 30 though, just saying.

Anyways, these bags! Here’s what I would put in them:

  • Bags of popcorn
  • Valentine’s chocolates
  • Socks
  • Mini candle
  • Face masks
  • Other self-care essentials!

I think this whole little extravaganza should be super relaxing. I think that’s why face masks and candles are obviously a perfect choice. I know what I’ll be doing this year on Valentine’s Day.

However, you’ll need some bags to put this stuff in! So, take your pick from Party Place. There is so much to choose from. Just hop online and pick what you feel best! That link above goes to all Valentine’s Day items they stock! Also, don’t forget the decorations! Heart doilies, confetti, and heart balloons are always my go-to decorations. Good thing Party Place has it all. Shop online or in store, but get to shopping so that you aren’t last minute trying to get your items together. Go into this party season stress free with easy shopping at the Party Place!

Disco New Year’s Party

When I think about New Year’s Eve, I think about gold, glitter, and silver. I think about champagne, parties, and fun outfits. So, let us put that all together to make the ultimate New Year’s Eve Party. Disco. New. Year’s. Eve.

Does that not just sound so jazzy and fun? I think so, and I will definitely be talking my family into throwing a disco party this year.

I am home from London, so obviously, we need to get this party started, literally!

‘Tis the new year, and ‘tis the season for fun and flirty celebrations.

First and foremost, let’s talk about dress code. This is one of the most important aspects to me because of all the photos people are going to take! Hello, Instagram pics for the win. A necessity going into 2023.

So dress code: definitely make it glittery and fun. Ask people to wear sequins, velvet, and anything else that rally exudes disco vibes. If they want to dress like a 70s disco star or a literal mirror ball, all things are good. So werk it!

The best part about décor is that Party Place has you covered! This disco ball sign is literally perfect for this theme. A great way to get a little party backdrop and really set the food with this sign.

In addition to that, literally just get all sorts of sequins, disco balls, and mirrored vases and you will have a stunning set up that is sure to shine through the night.

For your plates for party snacks, Party Place has matching plates to the signs. These are so fun and truly just perfect for the party.

Feel free to serve what you like, just make sure to include some champs, baby!

Once you get these basics down, you can make one heck of a party. Just make sure to get some banging tunes. I think some 70s disco jams would be extremely fitting, and I think that is just the vibe to do. Come to Party Place to get all the goods, and you can throw a great disco NYE party this year!

Ring in the new year with one real good time.
